The Immigrant Welcome Center's Natural Helpers talk about their favorite autumn-time activity in Indiana and what they're most grateful for this year.
We all desire to build better lives for ourselves and our families. Uprooting to a different country can be scary and challenging. The Immigrant Welcome Center extends a friendly face and helping hand to empower immigrants by connecting them to the people, places, and resources that enable them to build successful lives and enrich our community.
Operating as a non-profit, the Immigrant Welcome Center's Natural Helpers volunteer their time, resources, and knowledge to help fellow community members. Natural Helpers can assist when a bilingual person is needed to help interact with the broader community.
Natural Helpers have legal U.S. status, demonstrate bilingual skills, have a history of serving members of an immigrant or refugee community in Indianapolis that struggles to meet basic needs, are knowledgable about her/his community’s activities and members, and is someone community members "naturally" turn to for help.
